About

Kemo-7.jpg

Kemo Schedlosky

Vancouver, BC

Kemo is a fiber artist who works with various techniques including knitting, quilting, weaving, print, dye and embroidery. She sculpts and designs wall hangings using these various techniques.

The work seeks emotion in the dilapidated, the decayed and the aged.  Accepting and defining the imperfections of humanity and observing our past, our reality and our memory. The reflection of our narrative in place, its people, and their things is present in her work.

Currently, she is practicing abstract sculpted florals, plant life and figurative. Using found vintage fabrics, her own knitted lace and embellishing with embroidery.
